What’s with George Michael?

Poor old George Michael has been arrested again after he crashed his Range Rover into a shop front in the early hours of the morning. He was caught on CCTV mounting the kerb in his 4×4 and ploughing into Snappy Snaps in Hampstead, north London. George then waited for police to arrive. He was not breathalysed, insisting to officers he had not been drinking. However he is thought to have been tested for drugs at a north London police station.

Poor fellow really really needs to get a life…

Obama puts Nasa on a mission to put a space man in Mecca

This newish president really is becoming a caricature of himself. Obama asked NASA:

“to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”

There was also:

“to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math” and “to expand our international relationships.”

Since when was the point of science making foreigners feel good about how they can do science?

TdF Stage 3

Scary times approach in Stage 3. You wouldn’t know it by looking at the profile of stage three, which has no climbs to speak of, but it promises to be one of the most interesting of the race. All the fun will come in the final 30km as the riders negotiate 13.2km of cobbles. Expect punctures and crashes, particularly if it’s wet. Experience will count for much although many of the top riders, such as reigning Tour de France champion Contador and seven-time winner Armstrong, may opt for a safety-first approach. Stage 3 crosses the fabled cobbles of Paris-Roubaix and is seen as the first big test for the yellow jersey hopefuls. According to Lance Armstrong on Twitter: “Done w/ the st3 pave recon. Going. To. Be. Carnage.” And he’s not the only one predicting crashes, time gaps and all manner of mayhem. I just hope they don’t go on strike again and freewheel to the finish like they did yesterday…
